École des Roches offers safe, secure, state-of-the-art, modern school boarding facilities in a warm family environment.
Pupils are placed in one of twelve houses according to their gender and their age. Each house has two house parents who are responsible for student well-being. They are also a contact point for parents. House parents help, encourage, supervise and guide boarders in a warm and friendly environment.
Each house is represented by a blazon and a motto, according to tradition of anglo-saxon boarding, and set up by Edmond Demolins during the creation of École des Roches. Some examples include; Les Sablons house with "Loyauté me Lie", Le Coteau house with "Force et Douceur" and La Prairie house with "Pax in Lumine".
Our houses feature spacious and modern rooms, in which there are up to 6 pupils. Each house has its own living room, where every pupils can relax, play piano, read and talk to their friends. The house parents also meets each evening with the all students in the living space to chat about their day and address any suggestions or issues. In order for children to let off steam, fitness rooms and ballet rooms are also available. Boarding students have access to a games room complete with home cinema.
Houses are equipped with a study room in which every pupils has their own desk and unit for them to review their lessons, do their homework and revision.
Far from their family, these Boarding houses will become their home, and Rocheux their brothers and sisters, their family. Moreover, house parents, substitute for their parents who act as a cornerstone for the supervision and the motivation of the boarders.
The educational system in École des Roches, so dear to Edmond Demolins results in educationally, psychologically and emotionally supervise its pupils in order to promote their personal and intellectual fulfilment during the duration of their school career.
